Ten lucky Catholic Courier readers will win $50 Wegmans gift cards for participating in a survey of readers’ print and online reading patterns and preferences. The survey, which should take no more than 20 minutes to complete, can be accessed at www.surveymonkey.com/s/ccwb or from ads and links on the Courier website, Courier eNews, or Facebook and Twitter pages.
It is intended to gauge readers’ satisfaction with the printed newspaper and its electronic variations, and to assist the staff and board in making decisions about future initiatives.
"We’re hoping the prizes – plus the knowledge that they’re helping the Courier improve — will be sufficient incentive for readers to spend a few minutes telling us their thoughts," remarked Karen M. Franz, general manager/editor.
Survey questions address readers’ quality perceptions of both printed and electronic versions of the Courier and also assess their Internet, social media, e-reading and e-newsletter usage. In addition, the survey asks whether readers are satisfied with the quantity and quality of the Courier’s coverage of various topics, regions and demographic groups.
To assist the advertising staff in generating sales to support the newspaper, a few questions are dedicated to readers’ spending patterns, future purchase plans, hobbies/interests and household information. No information collected in the survey will be personally identifiable, Franz emphasized.
The Wegmans gift cards will be awarded to 10 randomly selected respondents who complete all relevant survey questions.
The survey was designed to be completed on the Internet, but paper copies of the questionnaire may be obtained by calling the Courier office at 585-529-9530 (800-600-3628 outside the Rochester local calling area).
