Courier plans live National Catholic Youth Conference coverage

More than 25,000 youths from around the country — including more than 400 from the Diocese of Rochester will be participating in the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) Nov. 16-18 in Indianapolis. The biannual conference features a variety of workshops, liturgies, performances and activities to help high-school students celebrate and grow more deeply in their faith.

Catholic Courier New Media Coordinator Gina Capellazzi and Staff Photographer Jeff Witherow will be traveling to Indianapolis with pilgrims from the Diocese of Rochester. They will be providing live updates, photos and videos from NCYC, along with stories on different aspects of the conference and the local youths who are attending. Follow their coverage on Facebook (www.facebook.com/CatholicCourier), Twitter (@CatholicCourier), Instagram (@CatholicCourier) and at www.CatholicCourier.com.

As part of local NCYC preparations, Bishop Salvatore R. Matano celebrated an Oct. 29 Mass with the pilgrims. For a story on the Mass and the Parent-Pilgrim Information and Preparation Day, visit www.CatholicCourier.com.
