The Catholic Courier’s annual digital Advent calendar is back for the 2021 season.
The calendar, available at CatholicCourier.com/adventcalendar2021, starts Nov. 27 and will feature 29 windows hiding daily multimedia “treats.” Visitors will be able to open a new window each day through Dec. 25.
The calendar will feature some surprises from students and staff of Catholic schools of the Diocese of Rochester, and also include cooking and craft videos, Sunday Gospel readings and reflections.
In conjunction with the Advent calendar, the Catholic Courier is again offering its ever-popular coloring contest for children ages 3 to 12. Interested children and their parents or teachers can check out the facing page, which features this year’s picture. The coloring page also can be downloaded and printed from the Courier’s website (CatholicCourier.com/articles/2021-coloring-contest), where complete rules are listed. Contest entries must be emailed to Newsroom@Catholic Courier.com by 5 p.m. Nov. 22.
Beginning at noon Nov. 29, visitors to the Courier’s website will be able to vote for their favorite pictures in each age category (3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12). Voting rules are listed on the coloring-contest page of the website, and entries will be featured in the Advent calendar.
