One of the treats hidden behind a window in the Catholic Courier’s upcoming multimedia Advent calendar will be a slideshow of submissions to the Courier’s coloring and art contest, which opens for submissions on Nov. 4.
The contest is open to children between the ages of 3 and 12 and is broken into four age brackets. Interested children and their parents can click here to download the complete contest rules (which vary according to the children’s ages) and to print the picture by Courier Graphic Artist Linda Rivers. After coloring or decorating their pictures, children may mail their completed artwork to Catholic Courier, Attn: Coloring Contest, PO Box 24379, Rochester, NY 14624, or photograph their art and e-mail the photos to gcapellazzi@catholiccourier.com. All entries must be received by Nov. 25.
Submissions will be featured on the Courier’s website from Dec. 1-14, and readers may vote for their favorite submissions once a day during that time period. The winners will be announced Dec. 15.
