The Catholic Courier, in collaboration with the Priesthood Vocations Awareness Team of the Diocese of Rochester, has developed a series of videos profiling the vocational journeys and current ministries of several diocesan priests.
During the months of March and April, a new video was posted each week at CatholicCourier.com/priestlife. The series culminated with an overview video timed to coincide with the 60th World Day of Prayer for Vocations on April 30.
Priests featured in the video series are:
- Father Aaron Kelly, who was ordained to the priesthood July 2, 2022.
- Father Carlos Sánchez, parochial vicar at Our Lady of Peace Parish, Geneva.
- Father William Coffas, pastor of Holy Cross and Our Mother of Sorrows churches in northwest Monroe County.
- Father Joseph Martuscello, parochial vicar of Holy Cross and Our Mother of Sorrows churches in northwest Monroe County.
- Father Anthony Mugavero, pastor of Holy Apostles Church in Rochester.
- Father William Leone, former military chaplain, now pastor of St. Jerome Church in East Rochester.
- Father Michael Brown, chaplain at two New York state correctional facilities and parochial vicar at three parishes in Auburn.
- Father James Schwartz, pastor of St. Joseph Church and Church of the Holy Spirit in Penfield.
- Father Matthew Walter, parochial vicar of St. Benedict Parish in Ontario County.
- Father Peter Van Lieshout, rector of Sacred Heart Cathedral in Rochester.
- Father Daniel L. White, parochial vicar of St. Maximilian Kolbe and St. Katharine Drexel parishes in western Wayne County.
