Men interested in learning about becoming permanent deacons are invited to attend an informational session on Saturday, June 9, at 1 p.m. at the rectory of St. Anthony Church, 312 Locke Road, Groton. Wives are invited as well.
Deacons are ordained clergy who preside at baptisms, weddings and funerals; preach and assist at Mass; and do various other forms of ministry.
