Men interested in becoming permanent deacons are invited to an information session at 10 a.m. March 8 at St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry, 120 French Road, Pittsford.
The session will outline the five-year application and formation process, the time commitment involved and answer questions about ongoing ministry. Applicants should be men of strong and active faith who have a record of service. Men should be 35 to 62 years old at time of ordination, in good health, emotionally mature, and stable in professional and personal relationships.
Men who wish to become deacons may be single or married, and wives are encouraged to attend the informational sessions as well.
