DeSales High School in Geneva is kicking off its 100th-anniversary celebration with an event that’s being billed as the largest raffle in the school’s history.
Only 2,000 tickets will be sold for the raffle, and $100,000 will be given away in prizes. The first-prize winner will receive $50,000, the second-prize winner will receive $25,000, the third-prize winner will receive $10,000 and the fourth-prize winner will receive $5,000. Ten more winners will receive $500 each, 12 others will receive $250 each and 20 more each will win $100.
Proceeds from the raffle will benefit DeSales’ tuition-assistance program and Saints athletic program.
The drawing will take place June 15, so all tickets must be purchased by 2 p.m. June 14. Ticket payments received by May 18 will be entered into an early-bird drawing, and the winner of that drawing will receive $500. Tickets may be purchased for $100 apiece.
