Diaconate is focus of Newark meeting

Deacon Greg Kiley will lead an informational session on the permanent diaconate Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael Church, 401 Main St. in Newark.

Deacon Kiley, who ministers at St. John the Evangelist Church in Clyde and Five Points Correctional Facility in Romulus, will discuss the permanent deacon’s role in the church and explain what the formation program entails. Men and their spouses who are interested in learning more about this vocation are invited to attend.
