To the editor:
According to the “Capsules” column of Dec. 4/5, a representative of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, speaking to a group at an Irish pub in Wilmington, said that the recent Presidential candidates were “less-than-perfect” and choosing was for “the lesser of two evils.” I think possibly too much Guinness inspired that nonsense. No presidential candidate — or human being — has ever been nor ever will be “perfect.” In my opinion, the Bishops should choose more sensible spokesmen who know what they are talking about.
