This year’s theme for diocesan Leadership Days — “Food for Life: Meals and Recipes for Every Occasion” — is not a total play on words.
The Diocese of Rochester is inviting parishes to take part in a Cookie Bake-Off in keeping with the conference theme. Up to 40 parishes may take part in the event, which will involve each participant baking two dozen cookies. Judging will be based on taste, wholesome ingredients and imagination. Daily winners will be announced during Leadership Days, set to take place Aug. 3-4 at St. Mary’s Church in Canandaigua. Winning parishes will be awarded handmade cookie-jar trophies.
