The Diocese of Rochester has announced its Presbyteral Council for 2019-20.
The diocesan presbyteral council, required by church law, meets regularly throughout the year and serves in an advisory role for Bishop Salvatore R. Matano, assisting him in the pastoral care of the diocese. Bishop Matano serves as president of the Presbyteral Council.
Other council members are Father William G. Coffas, Monroe Central Deanery (also a dean); Father Bernard I. Dan, non-incardinated secular priests; Father Kevin J.V. Mannara, CSB, religious order; Father Justin D. Miller, East Deanery; Father Edison Tayag, Central Deanery (also a dean); Father Patrick L. Connor, South Deanery (also a dean); Father Timothy E. Horan, Monroe East Deanery; Father Stanley G. Kacprzak, West Deanery; Father Peter B. Mottola, Monroe West Deanery; and Father R. Richard Brickler, senior priest nomination and appointment.
In addition, members who continue their service as consultors are Father Paul Gitau, Father William B. Leone, Father Frank E. Lioi (also a dean), Father Thomas P. Mull and Father Daniel E. White.
Serving in ex officio roles are Father Daniel J. Condon, diocesan chancellor; Father George P. Heyman, chair, convocation committee (also a dean); and Father Paul J. Tomasso, diocesan vicar general.
