A joyful atmosphere permeated Rochester’s Sacred Heart Cathedral Sept. 22, as the Diocese of Rochester kicked off its sesquicentennial observance with a Mass celebrated by New York Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan.
The jubilee liturgy was attended by clergy and lay representatives from all parts of the diocese who filled the cathedral to capacity on a warm, sunny Friday afternoon.
