Diocese of Rochester parishes will offer pet blessings Oct. 2-4, 2020

Pet blessings are being offered at a number of diocesan parishes to honor the Oct. 4 feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals.

Here is a listing of blessings, based on information provided in parish bulletins. Pet owners are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and leash or cage their pets.

Friday, Oct. 2

St. Mary Church, 4 Avon Road, Genese0; 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 3

• St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 Ridge Road West, Greece; 10 a.m.

• St. Catherine of Siena Church, 51 Maple St., Addison; noon to 1 p.m.

• Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave., Rochester/Charlotte; noon.

• Holy Trinity Church, 1460 Ridge Road, Webster; noon.

• St. Joseph Church, 8508 Main St., Campbell; 2 to 3 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 4:

• St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave., Greece; 11:15 a.m. (RSVP to Elizabeth.Cilano@dor.org or call 585-663-8000, ext. 2, by Oct 1.)

• Church of the Transfiguration, 50 W. Bloomfield Road, Pittsford; following the 11 a.m. Mass.

• St. Mary Our Mother Church, 816 W. Broad St., Horseheads; noon.

• St. Rita Church, 1008 Maple Drive, Webster; noon to 1 p.m. (This is a drive-through event.)

• St. Stanislaus Church, 7646 Whitehead Hill Road, Bradford; 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

• St. Columba Church, 198 North St., Caledonia; 1 p.m.
