Bishop Salvatore R. Matano is inviting the faithful of the Diocese of Rochester to a Mass celebrating the feast day of St. John Fisher, the diocesan patronal saint.

The Mass will take place Tuesday, June 22, at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

In addition to celebrating the diocesan patronal feast day, the Mass also will mark the start of Religious Freedom Week. From June 22-29, the Diocese of Rochester, along with all archdioceses and dioceses in the U.S., is inviting Catholics to “pray, reflect and act to promote religious freedom.” Each day of the week focuses on different religious-liberty topics of concern for the U.S. Catholic Church. More information can be found at www.usccb.org/ReligiousFreedomWeek.
