Don’t give up on church amid abuse scandal

Catholic Courier    |    10.01.2018

To the editor:

The scandal of disgraceful behavior by the priesthood, bishops, cardinals and popes is a public outrage. Yet it could be malicious gossip. We should look to what Joan of Arc endured. We should never leave the faith but build it up to a community of faithful believers. The scandal is awful and even unbearable yet we must move forward.

Jesus died on the cross for this (Roman Catholic) religion. I’m not asking for forgiveness but to use our minds that at the Last Supper God gave us himself – body, blood, soul and divinity. Let us gather together at the altar of the cross of redemption and remember that still through priest the power of God is there and hear us.

According to Pope Benedict XVI, I quote: “The Eucharist restored to the center of Catholic piety and devotion”

My theory is Jesus Christ on the cross and in the Eucharist is pure unpassable knowledge and true love!
