Ithaca’s St. Catherine of Siena Parish is sponsoring a drop-off box for used clothing and other goods on its church grounds, 302 Catherine Circle.
Acceptable items include useable clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, blankets, sheets, pillowcases, drapes and stuffed animals. Clothing should be put in plastic bags. Items not accepted include rags, fabric scraps, pillows, toys and household goods.
This effort is being done in conjunction with St. Pauly, a locally owned company that forwards items to people in need in the United States and Third World countries.
