DYC includes many from Southern Tier

Several people from the Southern Tier are members of the 2005-06 Diocesan Youth Committee.

This year’s DYC was commissioned during the Diocesan Youth Convention, held Aug. 13-14 in Rochester. Each member serves a two-year term and carries out leadership roles at various diocesan events.

New and continuing DYC members are adult leader Carolann Darling from St. Anthony Parish in Groton; and teen members Sander Moolin, St. Catherine of Siena, Ithaca; Amber Hinrichsen, Blessed Trinity/St. Patrick, Tioga County; Mary Marisa, Immaculate Conception, Ithaca; Michelle Pavlina, Schuyler Catholic Community; Michael Gilman, Sarah Shafer and Will Brewer, all from Holy Family Parish, northern Steuben/southern Livingston counties; and Christina Cardona, St. Mary’s, Bath.

Outgoing DYC members with Tier connections are adult leader Linda Mehlenbacher, Holy Family; and teens Jillian Grenier, Blessed Trinity/St. Patrick; Ed Carey, St. Anthony; and Megan Didas, Holy Family.
