The Polish tradition of blessing Easter food baskets was celebrated April 7 at Rochester’s St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Fr. Adam Ogorzaly blessed hundreds of Easter food baskets during two short services on Holy Saturday. The blessing included separate prayers for the meats, the bread, the eggs and all other foods of the Easter baskets containing the items to be consumed at the first meal of Easter when fasting has ended.
