Education is needed

To the editor:

I want to take a second to thank you for last month’s Catholic Courier, January 2008. The Faith & Family section was wonderful. You showed what the Church really teaches about the Eucharist, Bible, Mary and Purgatory. I am a convert to the Catholic Church from a Protestant denomination. I come from a family where my mother, grandmother and uncle were pastors. I love the Church, I love Jesus, our Lord. I have seen, first hand, the confusion that is out there in our world about the Catholic faith. I now have been given the fullness of the truth of our Lord Jesus.

I pray that you will continue to help clear up these misunderstandings. It is my responsibility as a Catholic to speak the truth in love. I have found beauty and truth in the Catholic Church. I pray that every Catholic will study their faith more. If Catholics truly understood what they have, they would never leave. I have been given the greatest gift in the Catholic Church and don’t ever plan to hide my light under a bushel. It is the springtime of the Church. I pray that you will continue to educate God’s children about their Faith. Thank you.
