Enjoyed story on chaplain

To the editor:

Last month’s story "Chaplain memorialized at center" by reporter Amy Kotlarz was a classic. She brought to life the memory of Father Elmer Heindl, a Rochester priest who has been called one of the most decorated chaplains of World War II. Not only was he a priest for 70 years serving in several parishes in Rochester, but was also a war hero, earning the Distinguished Service Cross, our nation’s second-highest combat medal. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed reading a story so much. Thanks for such a heart-warming story.
