Events mark anniversary of sisters’ deaths

Two upcoming events will mark the 25th anniversary of the deaths of Sisters Maura Clarke, Dorothy Kazel, Ita Ford and Jean Donovon, who were murdered in El Salvador on Dec. 2, 1980.

Women of the Well, a theatrical storytelling group that focuses on women in the Bible and the church, will present “Certain Women,” a liturgical drama based on the sisters’ lives, on Friday, Dec. 2, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester.

On Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 7 to 8 p.m., the Women of the Well will lead the monthly Prayer for Our Times held at the Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 150 French Road, Pittsford.
