EWTN priest to visit St. John’s in Greece

Father Mitch Pacwa, host of the Eternal Word Television Network’s “Live” and “Threshold of Hope” series, will be one of three guest speakers at the Blessed Miguel Pro conference “Witness the True Faith.”

This conference, named for a martyred Mexican priest, will take place at St John the Evangelist Parish, 2400 W. Ridge Road, Greece, on Friday, Nov. 12, and Saturday, Nov. 13. The conference is sponsored by Oratory of Divine Love, Blessed Miguel Pro Chapter.

The conference will begin with a 7 p.m. Holy Hour with Father Pacwa on Friday. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, followed by recitation of the rosary and a Mass. Presentations will begin at 9:15 a.m. with spiritual author Ann Ball, a Catholic author from Houston, Texas, who writes books and articles about the modern saints and Catholic heritage and tradition. She will be presenting the story of Blessed Miguel Pro.

At 10:30 a.m., Father Pacwa will be speaking on “Masonic in the Church.” At 12:45 p.m., Father Ted Ross, assistant professor of historical theology at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati, will be speaking on “Loving a Church That is Hurting.” Father Pacwa will speak on “Viva Cristo Rey (Long Live Christ the King)!” at 2 p.m. Participants will be able to go to confession from 3:45-4:40 p.m., and attend Mass at 5 p.m.
