William M. Shea, director of the Center for Religion, Ethics and Culture at the College of the Holy Cross in Worchester, Mass., will give two speeches on Catholics and evangelicals at Nazareth College, 4245 East Ave., Pittsford, Feb 9-10.
The first talk will be on “Crossing Boundaries: Catholics and Evangelicals” and will be given on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Forum of the Otto Shults Community Center. Shea’s second talk, on Feb. 10 at 1:30 p.m. in the Forum, will address the topic of “Evangelicals and Catholics Working Together.”
In addition to directing the center, Shea also teaches in the Holy Cross department of religious studies. A graduate of the Columbia University School of Philosophy, he has taught at The Catholic University of America, the University of South Florida and St. Louis University.
Shea wrote The Lion and the Lamb: Evangelicals and Catholics in America (2004).
