Adopting an exclusively online format, the sixth-annual ExultRochester Catholic Men’s Conference is set to take place Saturday, Oct. 17.

The conference, featuring the theme “Call to Holiness,” will be hosted on the Zoom platform from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It will begin with rosary recitation at 7:30, followed by a livestreamed Mass celebrated by Bishop Salvatore R. Matano.

Serving as the conference’s two keynote speakers will be David Anders, a Catholic catechist, speaker and writer from Birmingham, Ala., who hosts the popular EWTN radio program “Called to Communion”; and Troy Guy, a Catholic apologist, nuclear engineer and author of the book Evangelical Catholic.

By making the event available virtually, organizers of the men’s conference are striving — despite the coronavirus pandemic — to maintain the conference’s purpose of uniting men in a day of inspiration and growth in faith.

Adopting the digital format also will help ExultRochester gain insight and experience that can be shared with parish men’s groups for conducting their own meetings on this or comparable platforms while the threat of COVID-19 remains, organizers said.

The conference is designed for men from the Diocese of Rochester but is open to all men of at least high-school age from any diocese.

There is no registration cost for this year’s event, although a free-will offering is requested.

Full details and registration for the men’s conference are available at www.exultrochester.org.
