Church of the Resurrection, 63 Mason Road, between Route 31 and Ayrault Road in Fairport, is offering a series called “A Second Look at the Catholic Church” on the first Wednesday of each month from October through May.
Each session runs from 7-9 p.m., and consists of a presentation, beverage break and discussion period. Topics and dates include:
* Oct. 6: “Being Catholic in these changing, challenging times.”
* Nov. 3: “How to live my life — Catholic social teachings.”
* Dec. 1: “End of life issues — Hydration and extraordinary means.”
* Jan. 5: “The liturgy — How and why we celebrate the Mass.”
* Feb. 2: “The History of the sacrament of matrimony and how to stay married.”
* March 2: “Prayer … Who me — Pray??!! or How could I do it better?”
* April 6: “Changes in the church — Why my adult children don’t go to Mass.”
* May 4: “Mary and women in the church.”
