Catholics from around the Rochester Diocese are invited to meet some of the 10 Diocese of Rochester’s seminarians next week and to pray for vocations.
The 10th-annual Seminarian/Vocations Mass will be celebrated at Shortsville’s St. Dominic Church on Tuesday, Aug. 4, which is the Feast of St. John Vianney, patron saint of parish priests.
Father David Cataline, who was ordained a diocesan priest on June 27, will celebrate the 5 p.m. Mass, which will be followed by a picnic with pulled pork, hot dogs and ice cream from a Scoops truck.
Participants are asked to bring drinks and side dishes to share at the event, which also will feature lawn games.
