Father Mull recognized by state’s Catholic-school leaders

Father Thomas Mull recently received the Lighting the Fire for Catholic Education Award from the Catholic School Administrators Association of New York State.

A product of Catholic education himself, Father Mull has been a supporter of Catholic education for many years, according to Suzanne Pohorence, principal at St. Francis-St. Stephen School in Geneva. Father Mull is pastor at Geneva’s Our Lady of Peace Parish. Pohorence also worked with Father Mull when she taught at St. Mary School in Canandaigua, where Father Mull was pastor before becoming pastor at Our Lady of Peace.

Students and staff from St. Francis-St. Stephen School and Our Lady of Peace parishioners honored Father Mull with a pair of receptions Nov. 8. Students and faculty attended an afternoon reception, while other adults from the parish and school communities took part in an evening reception, Pohorence said.
