St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4536 St. Paul Blvd., Irondequoit, will host a “Festival of Choirs” from 3-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 30.
More than 100 choir members from the Irondequoit area’s six Catholic faith communities will perform a diverse selection of religiously themed songs, from Beethoven to traditional spiritual arrangements by African-American composer William L. Dawson. The concert is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
This event is presented by the Irondequoit Senior Ministries, a collaboration of Christ the King, St. Cecilia, St. Margaret Mary, St. Salome and St. Thomas the Apostle churches as well as St. Ann’s Community, and is supported by the Turula Family Fund, Inc.
