Fidelis partners with Clifton Springs hospital

Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic is the newest member of the growing provider network of Fidelis Care, the health-insurance plan provider founded by New York state’s Catholic bishops.

Fidelis Care is pleased about this new partnership, which is expected to benefit children, adults and families in the area, according to Mark Lane, president and CEO of Fidelis Care.

"There are nearly 9,000 uninsured individuals in Ontario County, including almost 2,000 children under the age of 19. Together, Fidelis Care and Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic will work to reduce these numbers and help ensure that everyone has access to the health care they need," Lane said.

Patients with health insurance tend to be more likely to see their doctors on a regular basis and seek treatment sooner when sick or injured, noted Asfar Ahmed, a doctor with Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic’s Health First Family Medicine.

"The insurance programs offered by Fidelis Care help families access the care they need to stay healthy," Ahmed said.

Fidelis Care has been operating in the Rochester Diocese since 2007. For more information, call 1-888-343-3547 or visit www.fideliscare.org.
