On Oct. 31, St. John Fisher College broke ground for the Wegmans School of Nursing’s new building, which is being funded by an $8 million gift — the largest in the school’s history — from the late Robert B. Wegman.
The 38,000-square-foot building will house classrooms, teaching laboratories, offices, the Wellness Center and Fisher’s combined medical and mental-health center.
Program enrollment has increased 66 percent between 2003 and 2005. The building is set to open by the fall of 2007.
