I took this photo while on assignment at Rochester’s St. Stanislaus Kostka Church May 1. The parish, which has deep Polish roots, was celebrating the beatification that same day of Blessed Pope John Paul II, one of Poland’s most beloved native sons. I was all over the church getting photos throughout the Mass. Toward the end I was shooting at the front of the church because some children seated there were dressed in traditional Polish garb. This kid’s expression cracked me up so I took a picture.
