A multifamily garage sale will benefit the Penfield-based charity Water for Sudan, which is dedicated to drilling wells in arid southern Sudan. In 2007, the nonprofit organization drilled 10 wells, which will serve 25,000 people.
The last day of the sale is Sunday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 89 Amsterdam Road, Rochester, between Atlantic Avenue and Humboldt Street. The sale will include craft supplies, Christmas items, kitchen appliances, children’s items and furniture, among other things.
