Holy Cross Gift Shop, 78 Latta Road, Charlotte, will have special events this weekend as part of its third-anniversary celebration.
The gift shop will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 21-23. Coupons for 10 percent off purchases during the weekend are available in the parish bulletins and in the store.
Author Ron Anderson, who wrote a book of essays titled Growing up in Charlotte, will sign copies of the book from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 22.
The gift shop also will sponsor a coffee hour at Holy Cross after the 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday, Jan. 23, in the parish center. The coffee hour will feature cake and the shop’s own Holy Cross Blessed Blend coffee, which is roasted and ground locally. There also will be raffles and giveaways all weekend.
The shop is staffed by volunteers, and a portion of the proceeds support ministries of Holy Cross Parish.
