Gifts for Iraqi kids sought in Lansing

A drive to benefit Iraqi children is being conducted through All Saints Parish in Lansing.

Eric Tee, a native All Saints parishioner, is currently stationed in Iraq as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He has received several notes, cards, gifts and prayers, and has recently requested that in lieu of further gifts for himself, to instead donate children’s items. These may include sporting equipment of any type, especially small soccer balls; as well as pens with no advertising on them, crayons, markers, coloring books and other school supplies.

Donated goods may be dropped off at the All Saints parish office, 347 Ridge Road. According to Dave Lippert, the parish’s administrative assistant, items will be accepted through the end of May and then shipped to Iraq.
