A golf tournament will be held Aug. 8 to benefit Care Net Pregnancy Care Center of the Finger Lakes. Golf FORE Life will be held at Silver Creek Golf Course, located at 1790 E. River Road in Waterloo.
The tournament will be in a four-person scramble format, and singles will be paired the day of the tournament. Registration will begin at noon, and golfers will tee off at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the teams finishing in first, second and third places, as well as to the men and women with the longest drives and whose golf balls land closest to the pin before being putted into the hole. A football autographed by Waterloo native Tom Coughlin, who is head coach of the NFL’s New York Giants, will be auctioned off during dinner after the tournament.
The entry fee is $80 per golfer, and that price includes the cost of 18 holes of golf, greens fees, a golf cart, lunch, and a dinner of chicken or steak. Tickets for the dinner alone may be purchased for $30 apiece. Entry fees must be paid by Aug. 1.
