Good news happens at Catholic schools

Last week, Catholic schools throughout our diocese joined with others across the nation to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. The week was filled with events in which teachers, parents, staff and especially our students expressed their pride in being part of a school system that continues to successfully combine faith, values and academic excellence.

This issue of the Catholic Courier highlights some of the “good news” that is occurring in our classrooms on a daily basis. If you are interested, we urge you to visit the Catholic school nearest you to learn more about our Spirit-filled classrooms, state-of-the-art technology, security and wonderfully devoted teachers, administrators and staff.

What you will find in our classrooms, from our full-time kindergartens on up, are children preparing to take their place in the 21st-century world. They will be well-versed in the latest technological advances, have the skills to be effective leaders and citizens, and understand the importance of the increasing demands of globalization. Most importantly, their education will be rooted in the Gospel, providing them with the capability to become effective, strong moral and ethical adults.

Our congratulations to those parents and guardians who have chosen Catholic schools for their children. You have made a sound investment in their future that will serve these young people throughout their lifetime and will make a difference in our world as well.

If your children are not already enrolled, please consider giving them the gift of a Catholic-school education. We are confident that you will be pleased with the results!

May God continue to bless you and your families.
