To the editor:
Scripture tells us that Jesus healed many people during His public ministry on earth, faith being the common necessity. Scripture also tells us this same Jesus is still, and always will be until the end of time, with us in the Eucharist! Catholic doctrine proclaims Jesus’ true presence, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, in the Eucharist. What a gift!
Society’s largest gift-giving season is ended. The Greatest Gift of all is still with us each and every day. Truly present in all the tabernacles throughout the world. Always with us, waiting — to embrace us, console us, heal us, and feed us with the Bread of Life.
My prayer for all Catholics everywhere is that our hearts may burn with love for Jesus in the Eucharist along with the desire to receive Him worthily and as often as possible. And that our faith may be great enough to receive every grace, every blessing, every gift and every healing He desires us to receive. Abba Father, hear us. Holy Spirit, increase our faith. Blessed Mother, intercede for us. Precious Jesus, heal us, heal our world. We place all our trust in you. Amen.
