A special community service of hope and healing for the opioid epidemic will take place Friday, Sept. 14, at 5:30 p.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd., Greece.
The prayer service is open to people of all faiths and will be celebrated by Father William G. Coffas, pastor of Our Mother of Sorrows. He will lead the congregation in praying the Psalms as well as Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. A reception with light refreshments will follow in the parish hall.
