Nomination deadline is Sept. 28 for the diocesan Hands of Christ Awards.
Hands of Christ annually recognizes several hundred outstanding high-school seniors who have consistently demonstrated their Christianity by word and example; have been actively involved in their parish, school and/or community; have acted as positive role models for their peers; and are practicing Roman Catholics at parishes in the Rochester Diocese.
Celebrations will take place Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, Greece; Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 7:30 p.m. at St. John of Rochester Church, Fairport; and Saturday, Oct. 13, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Lake Church, Watkins Glen.
Anyone may nominate a youth for this honor. For a nomination form, contact your parish youth-ministry representative.
