Two major events are coming up for the Elmira Ancient Order of Hibernians John J. Lee Division.
On Sunday, March 9, the Hibernians will hold their annual march and Corporate Communion Mass. Officers and members from the John J. Lee Division and Daniel W. McCarthy Junior Division will process from Elmira’s Lake and Church streets to Ss. Peter and Paul Church for Mass at 9 a.m. Bagpipes and banners will be featured by both divisions.
On Monday, March 17, Elmira AOH will hold St. Patrick’s Day festivities at the Hibernian Center, 701 Kinyon St. The day will feature Irish step dancers, a bagpipe band, and a corned beef and cabbage dinner starting at 4 p.m. until gone. Corned beef sandwiches will also be available all day until sold out.
