High-school seniors were recognized during the 2023 Hands of Christ awards ceremonies, which took place Feb. 7-9. The awards are presented by the diocese to recognize seniors who have exhibited outstanding service in their parishes, homes, schools and communities, demonstrating Christian attitudes through their words and examples. Maya Rouse of St. Monica Church in Rochester gave a witness talk to the nearly 90 other students who attended the Feb. 8 ceremony at Rochester’s Sacred Heart Cathedral. Following the awards presentation, the youths took part in adoration as part of the National Eucharistic Revival.
