Families and friends looking for loved ones buried in Rochester’s Holy Sepulchre Cemetery can view a virtual gravesite in the Lifebook, a complete database of all interred at the cemetery.
Visitors to Holy Sepulchre’s redesigned Web site, www.holysepulchre.org, are able to post stories, memories, prayers or messages to friends and family through the Lifebook. Genealogists also can use it to locate ancestors dating back through the cemetery’s nearly 140-year history. The Web site also features an interactive tour, a list of notable people buried at the cemetery and an events calendar, among other features.
The independent, nonprofit cemetery was founded in 1871 for Catholics and their loved ones.
