The funeral Mass for Pope Benedict XVI, presided over by Pope Francis, will be in St. Peter’s Square Jan. 5. The Mass is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. Rome time, which is 3:30 a.m. Eastern.

How to watch the funeral


EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network) will broadcast the services, beginning at 3 a.m.

The network also will broadcast encore presentations of the funeral Jan. 5 at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. for those unable to watch the live broadcast.
