Mary F. Bauer of Fairport has been named as the new diocesan director of human resources.
Bauer brings considerable experience to her new post. In recent years she served as vice president of human resources and later consultant for the Doyle Group in Rochester. She was also vice president of human resources for Rochester Community Savings Bank from 1985-98. Prior to that time, she was manager of human resources for Sykes Datatronics as well as senior personnel specialist for Xerox Corp.
“I am excited about the opportunity to blend my experience in the corporate and nonprofit sectors with an environment that complements my religious faith,” Bauer said in a statement. “I hope to complement an already excellent staff. I believe very strongly in good ‘customer service’ — helping people do their jobs well, providing them with opportunities for training and growth, and making sure our policies and our practices focus on creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring work environment.”
Bauer is a graduate of Daemen College in Buffalo. She belongs to the state Department of Labor Job Service Employer Council as well as the Rochester Area Career Education Collaboration Advisory Committee.
She is a parishioner of St. Jerome’s in East Rochester and also served for eight years as a trustee of Bishop Kearney High School.
