Internet safety night to be held in Hornell

An Internet safety course is being offered Tuesday, June 6, at 7 p.m. at the Hornell Knights of Columbus, 251 Main St.

The seminar will be led by FBI Special Agent Mark Thompson, a member of the bureau’s Cyber-Predator Task Force. He will discuss such topics as sexual predators; child pornography; victims; warning signs; and the Web site www.myspace.com.

This event is being sponsored by St. Ann School in Hornell and Our Lady of the Valley Parish in western Steuben County. It is free of charge and open to the public. However, organizers note that the content being presented is not suitable for children who are not yet in high school. For details, call 607/324-0733.
