Is God using pandemic to get humanity back on track?

To the editor:

Maybe, just maybe, God is saying, with this coronavirus, “ENOUGH, YOU CAN ALL GO TO YOUR ROOMS.” And maybe this is His way of giving all of us the opportunity to slow down and do some self-reflection. Slow down and reconnect meaningfully with family and friends.

In my opinion the “devil”, that is, the evil in this world, has caused all the terrible acts in the past 100 years and this pandemic, as terrible as it is, and propagated by man not God, may be just what the world needs to get us back on track to being a caring and loving people.

Take this time to think about what you believe. Forgive previous slights. Reach out on line to family and friends. Think about your sins and recognize your short comings, pray each day and develop your own “music” (prayers) to God. Thank Him for allowing you to have this opportunity.

I can’t help thinking about the saying: “When you get lemons, make lemonade”. If you are not used to self-reflection, try it right now, for one minute. Close your eyes and think about how you can be a better person, how you have sinned, or how your behavior has been selfish and maybe hurtful to someone.

Try to commit to doing that every day. Surely you have one minute. If you already pray daily then take a few moments in your prayers to do this.
