Loaves & Fishes of Tompkins County Inc., an Ithaca-based meal ministry, is requesting volunteers to serve as advocates for guests served by the outreach.
Advocates are needed during meal times (lunch at noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and dinner at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.) Among the advocates’ duties are to help make referrals for guests by filling out forms, or just lending a caring ear.
Mentoring and training is available for all people interested in volunteering.
