June 20 presentation to key on Alzheimer’s

“Alzheimer’s Disease — Just Getting Forgetful or Reason to Worry?” will be the topic for the next St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation Betts F. Komer seminar. The gathering will take place Wednesday, June 20, at 7 p.m. at Elmira Country Club.

The event is free and open to the public. Dr. John F. Schiavone of Internal Medicine Associates of the Southern Tier PC will serve as keynote speaker. His presentation will focus on early signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease; life changes that a diagnosis can bring to both patients and caregivers; and treatment options. Additional representatives will be on hand with information and to answer questions about diagnosis, treatment and appropriate placement.

Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are requested and may be made by calling 607/737-7016.
