June’s winner was Sydney Heinig, who just completed the third grade at St. Ann School in Hornell. In response to Why is it so important to attend Mass regularly? Sydney wrote: “It is important to attend Mass regularly because it is one of the Ten Commandments. When we attend Mass on Sunday, we are keeping the Lord’s Day holy. At Mass, we learn about our faith. The readings and homily tell us how to love each other and God. We gather as a community at Mass and worship God together in God’s house. This brings us closer to God. Most importantly, we receive the Body of Christ, which is Jesus.”
